Lovely readers, I write to you from the Narnia that this little bit of eastern Vancouver Island has become overnight, between days one and two of my “Swan Stories: Weaving Devotion” workshop with Nao Sims.
While dancing and teaching and waking up to deep snow, I’ve made a recording of the latest installment of Mother Animal - Chapter 2, “Conceiving Fairytale Apples.”
Some of you have asked me recently if I might read more of my work aloud, and this project seemed like a good place to start. After all, there are a lot of story-excerpts throughout— bits of folk and fairytale that are meant to be heard aloud.
So, if you’ve been waiting for a quiet moment to read the latest installment, you now also have the option to go listen to it while you are taking a walk, or weeding the garden, or resting by the fire.
You can find the recording in the original post, just below Hildegard von Bingen’s “Cosmic Egg.” above the text that reads, “Chapter 2: Conceiving Fairytale Apples.”
Raising a cup of strong tea at dusk to you all, amidst beautiful snow-laden firs.
It truly was magical snow, as was dancing together. A true Narnia morning, yes! Thank you and Nao so so much. May the swan magics and medicine continue to move through us with all the grace of a million softly falling white snow feathers 🤍
