Reading you is like being splashed with fresh water on the face, cold and salty water that carries many things that I cannot name, but feel very real.

I have found that I no longer walk around bookstores (something I used to love more than anything) Im just returning to the old stories, to authors work I loved before this onslaught. Im not sure how to navigate it otherwise, I don’t believe anything anyone writes on instagram - especially as I witness others take words from writers I adore and use them as their own with no credits due, is this what ai does to people, makes them believe anything can be taken and copied and used and copied again?! I am bewildered and immensely missing the soul of the work
I recently wanted to write a piece about a woven work I just completed on the loom but I felt stuck, even though I feel deeply the ritual and depth of my work.. I have ingested so many others words that I don’t even know how to connect to my own anymore. This really worries me
thank you for grandmother moon, may she stir bitter milkthistle and dandy root back into my psyche, to my own deep knowing. Im off to keep weaving my sail, a large one for my little boys and I xx
